GPS monitoring in agriculture.

GPS мониторинг в сельском хозяйстве

GPS monitoring is a system for monitoring moving objects using satellite technology. It consists of two important parts: hardware and software.
GPS tracking of vehicles is relevant both for field processing equipment (tractor, combine, sprayer), and for transportation equipment (trucks, grain carrier).

GPS monitoring – agricultural efficiency

It is very important for farmers to establish efficient work in the field and control it. Often the equipment is disabled by the drivers themselves, who want to earn extra money, for example, by draining the fuel from the tank or using the equipment for personal purposes.
Small farm owners are losing a lot of money because a driver can pour 10 liters of fuel into a canister before it gets into the car, and it is almost impossible to verify or prove this.

Accordingly, the issue of agro control must be approached comprehensively. After all, a farmer can save at least 15% of the annual fuel turnover. This is while about 200,000 hryvnias are needed to equip equipment for an average farm for 20 units, which can help save fuel by half a million hryvnias a year.

The device of the dispenser and the tanker with a control system makes it possible to obtain information when, how much and to whom fuel was dispensed using a card system, and its consumption and balance can be seen by the sensor on the equipment.
The Antenor company will help to implement fuel control systems at an agricultural enterprise and allows you to solve specific problems:

control fuel consumption;
significantly reduce the cost of fuel and lubricants up to 50%;
normalize fuel consumption for a specific operation;
prevent inefficient operation of equipment;
determine the actual use of working time by machine operators;
reduce the cost of maintenance, depreciation.
Control of agricultural machinery.

GPS monitoring makes it possible to monitor where the equipment is at a particular moment in time, whether the operator follows the intended route and at what speed the operator moves across the field. With the help of GPS monitoring, the owner also monitors how many hectares are processed on a particular site in a particular period of time, as well as where and when the crop is actually shipped from the combine bunker.
Antenor prefers to work with Wialon. This is a multifunctional GPS and GLONASS system for monitoring vehicles, mobile and stationary objects.
The installation of the terminal includes a hidden installation with power connection and adjustment of the “On-board voltage” and “Ignition” sensors. Using this technology, the owner of the equipment gets access via a WEB browser from any computer or mobile device on Android and iOS. Moreover, at the moment of violation, the owner can receive instant notifications on Telegram | sms | e-mail.
The main controlled indicators of machinery using the Hecterra agro-application:

mileage;
speed;
time in motion;
engine hours;
travel itineraries;
parking places;
stops.
Control of the operation of mechanisms.

Regular sensors allow you to fully control the state of the vehicle, control can be carried out both centrally and remotely.
Among the most popular sensors that are installed on vehicles, we can distinguish:

FLS (fuel level sensor);
CAN – data reader from the on-board computer
Bluetooth tags for trailer control
Temperature sensor in refrigeration unit and so on.
By connecting the above and other necessary sensors to the GPS tracking system, the owner of the vehicle can be completely sure that the cars and special equipment will be kept in perfect order, as well as that the drivers will treat their work with maximum responsibility.

Bunker filling control.

The level sensor for bulk products allows you to effectively control the dynamics of filling the harvester hopper. Its operation is based on the same principle as in the fuel control device. This is a capacitive hopper level meter.

The principle of operation of a capacitive sensor is based on fixing changes in the capacitance of the built-in capacitor.

The high sensitivity of the capacitor allows the capacitive level sensor to work with bulk substances with different levels of dielectric constant, as well as with dielectric substances.

The electrode and the wall of the hopper (or 2 parallel electrodes) form a measuring system of 2 electrodes in which the capacitance of the filled space between them is measured, depending on the dielectric constant of the measured medium.
With the help of Wialon software, grain accounting and cartography of their collection or sowing is carried out. Various sensor interface options (analogue, frequency and digital) allow interaction with different types of monitoring equipment. You get all the necessary information about the operation of sowing equipment for the period of interest.

When filling the hopper, the sensor transmits information about the level in centimeters
